CLIC Sargents vision for the website is that it should be the first place to turn for immediate, round the clock information and support on childrens cancer.
Jamkit will build a site designed to encourage user involvement. Users will be able to contribute content through forums, keep a diary online and provide tips for other users. Registered users will each have a profile page on which they can tell their story, promote their fundraising activity and track how much theyve raised to date.
This active, online community will be supported by information on how people can support CLIC Sargent through fundraising, participating in events, volunteering and campaigning activity as well as donation pages, news and research.
Seb Bacon, Jamkits Technical Director says;
Were delighted to be working on such a vital resource for children, young people and their families. The plans for the website are ambitious, particularly around user interaction and innovative fundraising ideas, and we are really excited about meeting the challenge
Sarah Talbot Williams, Director of Communications at CLIC Sargent adds:
Our key focus is on providing the support that each individual child and family needs after receiving a cancer diagnosis. It is vital that our website provides users with up to the minute information and support for users. The new site will also provide both our existing and potential new supporters a source of interactive information highlighting ways they can get involved with CLIC Sargent, this will be a vital tool in providing new and innovative fundraising opportunities for CLIC Sargent and our supporters.
