Ghent University is one of the leading higher-education institutions in the Low Countries.
The issue
The university came to Jamkit because the website was failing to meet the needs of its 30,000 users, which includes staff, students and prospective students. One of the most serious problems was extremely slow response times: during peak hours users were frequently waiting more than a minute for pages to download.
The solution
Acting on a consultancy and training basis, and drawing on our expertise with the Zope application server, Jamkit identified the problems and proposed and implemented a solution.
The result
With the bottlenecks removed, students and staff now have fast and stable access to the university's content.
