HelpAge International
HelpAge International is a global network of not-for-profit
organisations with a mission to work with and for disadvantaged older
people worldwide to achieve a lasting improvement in the quality of
their lives.
As part of their strategy to position themselves as the leading
authority on ageing and development, HelpAge International wanted a
site which could become the ultimate global resource for issues related
to ageing.
The Problem
The current site was hard to update and information within the site
was hard to find. Due to these difficulties, the site was under used
and could appear inactive to visitors.
The Solution
Jamkit built an accessible and intuitive resource which is locally
content-driven, to act as a hub for HelpAge International’s diverse
audiences across the world. The website provides a high quality site
search that is both easy to use and highly accessible for all visitors.
Our online service also provides the ability to set up further
contributors as required, add new sections and pages and adjust the
site as needs change in the future.
In order to emphasise the global nature of the organisation, we
supplied a system that allowed international offices to contribute to
the site easily.
All experiences, knowledge and expertise gained by staff can now be
collected in one place, ensuring that the learning from individual
projects is now shared.
‘The internet is a crucial channel for an international organisation like ours, and we’re pleased to have a tool which can support our work so effectively. We can showcase the best examples of our work from all over the world and reach a global audience with our key messages.’
Caroline Dobbing, Communications Officer at HelpAge International
