HelpAge International appoints Jamkit to make website a global resource
Jamkit has been appointed by HelpAge International, the global network for disadvantaged older people, to redevelop their existing website.
As part of their strategy to position themselves as the authority on ageing and development, HelpAge International is planning for the new site to become the ultimate global resource for issues related to ageing.
Jamkit will build an accessible and intuitive resource, which is locally content-driven, to act as a hub for HelpAge International's diverse audiences across the world. This will enable HelpAge International to deliver information and support on a highly reactive basis, e.g. the tsunami, as local or international issues and announcements take place.
Launching in July, the website will be developed using Webfactory, Jamkit's Content Management System allowing the site to be updated by any member of HelpAge International staff with minimal technical knowledge and time.
HelpAge International's Communications Officer, Caroline Dobbing comments
"The way we connect a wide range of organisations across the world is one of our most important strengths. It is important that we have a communication tool that allows us to react to particular issues and announcements as they happen, whenever that may be."
Jamkit's Business Director, Miles Waller adds
"HelpAge International face unique challenges in co-ordinating staff, members, partners, development specialists and policy makers spread around the globe. The new website will provide these critical audiences with an important and up-to-date information resource that supports their activities."
