Livery Company Launches Extranet to Support Charitable Initiatives.
The members of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists work on a range of charitable and educational programmes, helping the not-for-profit sector gain the maximum benefit from IT. All WCIT members are leading IT practitioners in the UK who undertake work on projects in their own time. The extranet allows them to maintain a pivotal role in the Company’s charitable activities, without compromising other commitments.The development includes features such as multiple discussion forums, member profiles, and document storage pages that allow members to network, share information and access resources online.
All WCIT members can log into the extranet from the public website, also redesigned by Jamkit. Each working group has its own private pages with current information, news and email discussion, making the site a central location for direct communication among Company members.
