Jamkit develop online shop for Breast Cancer Care
Jamkit has created a new online shopping facility to give the public fast and easy access to Breast Cancer Care's catalogue of fundraising products. The shop is part of a new fundraising microsite launched 16th September. The new online shop has been developed to increase sales by providing an additional channel for purchasing Breast Cancer Care's products which include pin badges, gift wrap, calendars, the brand new Breast Cancer Care T-shirt and christmas cards.
Jamkit created the fundraising microsite using their Open Source Content Management System, Webfactory. The new site replaces the previous fundraising section on the website.
The site is specifically designed for fundraisers, giving those who are interested in raising funds for Breast Cancer Care access to ideas, advice and information about fundraising. It contains hundreds of ideas to inspire people to raise money for Breast Cancer Care from coffee mornings and strawberry teas to parachute jumps, runs and marathons, and overseas treks.
"Breast Cancer Care is committed to providing accessible, high quality services for everyone affected by breast cancer. We need our website to exemplify that commitment," said Simon Hogg, Web Coordinator at the charity. "Jamkit's webfactory has played an important part in the success of the site over the past 12 months and we knew that the new online shop would provide another way for us to raise funds and maintain and develop our services."
"Breast Cancer Care returned to Jamkit for this development work because they knew that freeing up administrative time to help focus on their users is key to providing the best possible service," said Seb Bacon, Technical Director at Jamkit. "Jamkit has worked to ensure that Breast Cancer Care's site will meet the organisations needs now and in the future."
